Cypress is a relatively light wood that is extremely durable and highly resistant to moisture and insects. It is this oil - known as cypressine - that allows the wood to be left outdoors without being damaged.

Cotton and polyester are two of the most popular materials used in modern rope hammock construction. While they are both great materials for this purpose, they do have their advantages and disadvantages.

Well unfortunately fall is winding down and before you know it winter will be here. For some of us that means temperatures dip down into the 60’s (you hear me Florida & California), but for a lot of us, that means bitterly cold weather with snow and ice.
